Compensation: $18 to $20 per hour for 7 hours per day
Overview:
Join our dynamic team this spring as an Assistant Coach for our Coding and Robotics Camp! We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals passionate about teaching and technology to help inspire the next generation of innovators. This position offers a unique opportunity to get trained in design engineering, coding, and robotics while teaching kids aged 7 to 14.
It is perfectly suited for high school seniors, students awaiting college admission, and school teachers looking to enhance their STEM teaching capabilities and make extra income during the spring break. This experience can add great value to your resume, providing you with practical teaching experience and deepening your expertise in STEM education. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate engaging coding and robotics sessions for children aged 7 to 14.
- Assist in preparing lesson plans and instructional materials in design engineering, coding, and robotics.
- Encourage logical thinking, critical reasoning, and creativity in students.
- Monitor and support students’ learning progress.
- Maintain a positive, energetic, and safe learning environment.
- Collaborate with lead instructors to enhance the camp experience.
Requirements:
- Must be 16 years of age or above.
- Strong interest in learning, teaching, and working proactively.
- Passionate about coding, robotics, and engaging with children.
- Highly energetic, self-motivated, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to undergo a background check prior to employment.
- Availability to work from March 18 to March 28 on weekdays for 7 hours per day.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with programming languages and tools such as Scratch, block coding, Python, game development, and 3D modeling is highly desirable.
